In October 2018, I underwent rotator cuff surgery with Dr. Cole. Before the procedure, my arm was so weak I struggled with everyday tasks like putting dishes away in my cupboard. After surgery and dedicated physical therapy, I regained full strength and was able to return to my favorite outdoor activities without any lifting issues.
By May 2019, I was back in the field—harvesting a trophy wild turkey that I proudly had mounted. That fall, in November, I took my biggest deer ever and the following spring I mounted another trophy turkey.
In March 2023, I returned to Dr. Cole, this time for ACL surgery on my right knee. Once again, thanks to his expert care and the team at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, I made a full recovery. I’m now back to moonlight kayaking and everything else that nourishes my soul.
I am forever grateful to Dr. Cole and his team for their knowledge, care, and commitment to helping me return to the life I love.
